When you upload your resume, our AI analyzes the document and extracts your work experience, education, skills, certifications, and contact details into a structured career profile. You review and edit everything before it's saved, so you stay in control.

We support PDF, DOCX, DOC, and TXT files up to 5 MB. For the best extraction results we recommend a PDF with clear formatting and standard fonts.

Yes. Resumello is a fully responsive web app, so it works in any modern mobile browser on your phone or tablet — there's nothing to install. For longer editing sessions, such as reviewing your career profile or fine-tuning a generated resume, a desktop or laptop is more comfortable, but every feature is available on mobile.

The AI extracts your work history, skills, education, and certifications with high accuracy on well-formatted documents, but you always get the final say. Before anything is saved to your career profile you review the extracted data and can edit, add, or remove any field. Resumes with unusual layouts or graphics may extract less cleanly, which is exactly why the review step exists.

Skill Discovery is an AI interview that asks you personalized questions based on your experience to surface skills you may have overlooked or never wrote down. You can answer by text or voice, and for every skill the AI suggests you simply accept or reject it. Accepted skills are added to your career profile; rejected ones are discarded.

You maintain one structured career profile per account rather than a pile of separate resumes. Uploading a new resume updates that single profile. From there you generate as many tailored resumes as your plan allows — each one customized to a specific job — all drawn from your one comprehensive profile.

We offer five professional, ATS-friendly templates: Classic, Modern, Technical, Executive, and Creative. You can preview each one before generating, and paid plans unlock all five (the free trial uses the first template only).

ATS (Applicant Tracking System) optimization ensures your resume can be properly parsed by the software companies use to screen applications. Our generated resumes use ATS-friendly formatting, mirror the relevant keywords from the job description, and avoid elements that cause parsing failures.

No. Every generated resume is validated line-by-line against your real career history. The AI rephrases and emphasizes what you've actually done to match a job — it never fabricates skills, metrics, or accomplishments.

There are three ways: paste a job posting URL and the AI extracts the details automatically, paste the raw job description text, or capture the posting directly with the browser extension. However you add it, the job lands in your tracker ready to generate a tailored resume against.

URL import works with most major job boards and company career pages, including LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, and many more. If a particular URL doesn't parse, you can always paste the job description text or add the job manually.

Each tracked job moves through a status: Saved (interested but not applied yet), Applied (you've submitted an application), Interviewing (you're in the interview process), Offer (you've received an offer), Rejected (you received a rejection), and Archived (kept for reference but not actively pursued).

AI Job Intelligence analyzes a saved job to give you an edge in interviews: company research, role analysis showing how your skills line up with the requirements, and — on the Plus plan — interviewer intelligence that researches the people you'll be meeting so you can prepare relevant talking points.

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) through Stripe, our secure payment processor. Your card details are handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers.

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from Settings → Subscription, which opens the secure billing portal. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the start of your next billing cycle.

Not at this time. Both paid plans — Standard and Plus — are billed monthly, and you can cancel whenever you like. If we add annual billing in the future, we'll announce it here.

Absolutely. You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Subscription. Your plan will remain active until the end of your current billing period — there are no cancellation fees.

Your career profile, saved jobs, and previously generated documents are all preserved. You simply won't be able to generate new resumes beyond your plan's monthly limit until you upgrade again. Nothing is deleted.

We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis. If you're unhappy with Resumello, contact us within 30 days of your charge and we'll work with you to make it right.

Your career data belongs to you. We never sell your information, we use encryption in transit and at rest, and you can export or permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from your settings.

No. We never sell your personal information. Your data is used only to provide and improve Resumello, and we share it solely with the service providers needed to run the product (hosting, payment processing, the AI provider) under strict data-protection agreements.

When you generate a resume, cover letter, or skill suggestion, the relevant parts of your career profile and the job details are sent to our AI provider to produce that document for you. Your data is not used to train third-party AI models.

Yes. We comply with GDPR (for EU residents) and CCPA (for California residents). You have the right to access, export, correct, and delete your personal data. See our Privacy Policy for details on exercising these rights.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed in accordance with our data retention schedule and applicable law. See our Privacy Policy at /privacy for the full retention details.
